I finally had my first experience trading in Pokemon TCG Pocket, and thanks to the kindness of a random stranger online, I was able to complete the Mythical Island set!
There’s something so heartwarmingly nostalgic about exchanging cards with others, even in digital form.. it brings back memories of being a child and swapping favorites on the playground & at local comic book stores.
With the trading option now available in game, completing Genetic Apex finally feels within reach. The trading token system cost is definitely rather steep, and I do wish that we could trade full art cards, but I’m going to stay hopeful that the system may adjust & evolve over time. For now, I’m setting my sights on a new goal: collecting all 151 original Pokemon to complete the game’s hidden mission and receive the secret full art Mew card.
So far, I’ve had some luck trading with friends— thank you @atompalace and @fineapple for helping me get started along the way!
If ex cards count towards the mission, I may already be just three cards away from completing the 151 challenge. Here’s hoping the few missing pieces find their way home to me soon ✩
